i have enjoyed the music of Deep Purple since In Rock came out The mark 2 lineup is by far the greatest live band ever to grace the USA. Blackmore, Gillian, Lord, Glover, Ian P. could extend a live show for 2 hours easily and every show would be different.

Anything live with Gillan & Blackmore is worth getting! They school everyone in live jam riffs. Seriously! I even like the proper English chap introducing the songs. If u like purple and don't have this I would get it. Also check out Rainbow live (Dio) 1977 live in Munich.

I remember listening to this when i first bought the vinyl decades ago. This captures Deep Purple in their best form. Ian's voice is flawless throughout. The most memorable moments lie in the songs "Strange Kind of Woman", "Child In Time", and "Lazy". Blackmore and Gillan's interactions between one another using vocals and guitar licks cannot be put into words. Music like this is not made anymore. I am so happy that ITUNES brought this one out!
