This album was my introduction to Chet Atkins and it blew me away. Now, years later and having studied quite a bit of Chet's material this is still my favorite album of his. It has a lot of the essential songs like Country Gentleman, Yakety Axe, and Blue Angel. These versions are stellar; they are from later in his career when he had truly mastered these. The album also has a collaboration with the one and only Les Paul on a beautiful version of Over the Rainbow from Wizard of Oz. A real gem in this collection though is the duet between Chet and Dolly Parton. The song has a real informal feel, Dolly even makes a mistake and you hear Chet correct her in his own pleasant way. If you find this album amidst the 60+ other Chet albums up on iTunes right now, just buy this one. It's a truly amazing album and the Master is in top form for each song.
