Obviously you haven't listened to the full song,it's got a bit of a hard sound to it,just the chorus that is country-like. But you know what? It's damn good. I love classic Skynyrd. I love reborn Skynyrd. Hard rock+country= SOUTHERN ROCK N ROLL my friends. That's truly Skynyrd.

Okay, all of those saying this is not the old Skynyrd and all that, true. But, bands do change and progress and it is usually a good thing. This, on the other hand, is not such a good thing. It just lacks the feel that Skynyrd had, and I really wish the only thing they would do with simple in the title is Simple Man

After reading the all the negative reviews I have to agree; TOTALLY NOT SKYNYRD!! But the song in it's own right is pretty good, and I like it, country twang and all.
Skynyrd ceased to exist after that horrific plane crash. While attempts to reunite, reform, and play the old stuff, while recording some new stuff and touring, has been somewhat profitable for the band members. the music and style in which it is produced, played and delivered in concerts is nowhere close to what the original band acomplished in the 70's. The true artists of this band died on that plane, and with them the sound that made Skynyrd a rock legend died as well.
So no matter what the new Skynyrd does, it can never, and never will, match the old. But I hope they keep making music because so far I like what they have done.

This is by far the worst new song by an old band I've ever heard. I mean, this exatly the same as many modern pop-contrey bands.
