Some artists/bands sound good on record but disappoint when you see them live. Then...conversely, others (Black Oak Arkansas and Ricky Medlocke of Blackfoot come to mind) are so much better live, listening to their studio recordings doesn't even come close. I would slide Derringer closer to the "better live" end of that spectrum. A lot of the studio stuff is sort of, meh...okay. But hearing/seeing it live is pure meltdown and a spectacle that's lasted a lifetime!!

Does anyone remember tha some of Rick Derringer's first recorded guitar licks, was with the McCoys ,"Hang on Sloopy"? Good gonig iTunes for making this album availabe.

Underappreciated live album

I remember buying this album when it came out & always thought it was a great document of Rick Derringer at the time. Glad it's available for purchase. Songs like, "Sailor" & "Beyond The Universe" sound great, if not better than the studio versions. A must for Derringer fans.
