Good instrumentals and decent singing, but coming from someone who grew up on jamaican roots reggae and dub; this is neither. I know it sounds like i'm disrespecting the music but i've got to be realistic. The "cali reggae" bands need to stop using "dub" in their band titles and reggae as their genre of music, it's very misleading. If anything this is boy band alternative rock with reggae influence.

Just like the last album, The music is probably the best out of all the reggae albums I listen to, but I swear the singer is jumping on a trampoline while he is singing or something. The pitch is all over the place. If Paris Hilton can hit the right notes, I know these guys are capable of it. Its a bummer because their music is amazing

I've been into this band for a while now and really enjoyed their previous EP's. I saw them open for Tribal Seeds recently and was very impressed with their live show too. We got to the show as they were doing their sound check and I said to my friend "who's the highschool band?" without realizing that it was Pacific Dub. Having never seen them before, I couldn't believe how young these guys are! Their skill in composing and performing is exceptional for a young, up and coming band. To The Sky is a great album and I'm very excited about the way that their sound is progressing. The keyboards are much more dominant on this album, but in a good way. The lead guitar riffs have become more intricate and expressive and I love the guitar effects that they used on this album. To say that The One is even remotely similar to Rebelution's Bump is absolutely ridiculous. The One has a completely different and more complex bass line, two guitars, and completely different chord progressions and scales. I'd like to say that the two songs share the same rhythm, but Bump is nearly 10 beats per minute faster! Really not sure what that comparison is based on but I think that it really takes away from the originality of Pacific Dub. The fact of the matter is that this album is very different than any other reggae-rock album out right now. If you're like me and extremely disappointed with The Expendables newest album, download To The Sky. It will make you feel much better and restore your faith in the genre!
