Beautiful music, but I was disappointed that the music has not been attributed to it's original performers.

This CD is adventurous, full, deep and gorgeous. Absolutely in love with it. My critical music friend said she listened to it twice in a row and was "mezmerized."
Amazing music from an amazing performer

Regina Carter took her "genius grant" (MacArthur Fellowship) and put it to good use researching African folk music, fusing ancient tunes to contemporary jazz and produced this album that's nothing short of brilliance. Sublime music, sublime instruments, sublime artistry (if that's not redundant). Whether you're a long-time fan of her music or just discovered her, do yourself a huge favor and buy this album.

I've always loved Regina. Raw Emotion and noting "Common"
are great combos missing from the Music Scene today-- long
live Regina!

I absolutely love Ms. Carter. I have been a fan for the last 8 years. I had the opportunity to see her live, phenomenal! This CD is nice, invigorating, love the african vibes, oh, oh oh! You have to buy this now! If you are a true fan, your catalogue would be incomplete.

What an amazing record!
I can hear just why the itunes official review calls it startling and says it "embodies the spirit of jazz." Regina Carter is on tour with this show now, and it knocked me out when i saw this music performed in concert, and also on NPR Tiny Desk Concert.
