Great album and my first to by from Chicane. I heard Adam Young do the vocals on Middledistance runner and the video and music matched up so well it got me interested. I bought the CD after previewing a few songs and am not dissapointed. Sometimes when i hear "rave music" or dance music, a notion that first comes with the terms is simplicity and repetition...which is great for dancing (or whatever else..) but not so great for just listening. But this album has a great number of details, key changes and shifts in direction that make many of the songs subtely complex (so, its really easy to listen to, get into it, but the more you listen to it, the more you notice little details in each of the songs). Great album and highly reccomended!
Exceptional and imagination inducing

Of all the tracks on this list, Middle distance runner is the one that triggers the imagination the most. As the beat swells and the vocals of Adam Young (aka Owl City, Port Blue etc) arise you can feel the wind of a beach kissing your skin and the warm sun all over, it's inducing magic that few artists can recreate.

I haven't heard Chicane, since 'Behind the Sun'... That was awsome... BUT this is even better! This is going to be my all time favorite cd's. All the tracks are good.

Been a fan since Behind the Sun. That's my all time favorite album! Wasn't into Somersault. But Giants and Thousand Mile Stare are great and seem to be closer sound to Behind the Sun! His sound is incredible and I hope he continues to put out great music!
