I've been a huge fan of Adam's since I got him to play at a bar I managed in Macon, GA back in 2002. There was hardly anyone at that first show but word of mouth about him spread quickly after that first night. I had Adam back every chance I could after that, and he built a small but ferociusly loyal following in our town. I've had many opportunities to spend time with him, and the best thing I can tell you is that Adam knows who he is and doesn't deviate from it. His music comes from inside him, the world he's experienced and the feelings that his journey in life has evoked in him. There is absolute truth in every album he's ever recorded and there is something to be said for that. In a current country scene where the American Idol winners go on the be the bigger stars, Adam is a sadly only a blip on the radar. If this was 30 years ago or more, Adam would be a superstar. He's built his career on stale beer, cigarette smoke and sweat and if there were a personification of genuine country it would be Adam Hood. I love his music, I love his personality and I love the man himself. Very few people in music today are as talented or courageous as Adam Hood. So get somewhere he's playing, put some Margaritas in ya mouth and clap like "table C" every song he plays and you won't be disappointed. Hope someone is buying you a shot of Jager for me tonight brother! And come back to Macon one more time!

Hi songs are great. His voice is the deepest, most soulful out there! Could listen to him sing all night!

There are performers that have a sound meticulously crafted by marketing teams and focus groups; Adam Hood is not in that camp. Adam Hood's sound and lyrics come from a place that can be found only in between smoke-filled bars and loneliness of the open road. His southern soul-filled sound resonates with an audience wanting something more than what the music marketing machine can produce. Hood represents a road-harden troubadour on the verge of almost famous. It’s albums like these that prevent the public from giving up on the up-and-comers.
