Radical Something. More like Jovial Something.
Their idea's cool. They sound cool. And I can appreciate their carefree, happy messages, but I just don't love them. Some of their stuff sounds overly happy, dripping in sugar-coated "hey lets stay up still the sun goes down" phrases, and with idealized teenage frolicking around and falling in love. The vocals seem strained and the melodies are nice but not too original and ground-breaking. I don't know why, but I get annoyed by how sappy and mainstream poppy it sounds.
Maybe I'm expecting too much. Maybe I was expecting more out of a band called Radical Something. That's just me.

I never heard of this band until I read an article in the San Francisco Chronicle Sport's section today. Being a songwriter-musician myself I was curious. So I went to You Tube and started watching their videos. How's this folks...they are really good. Their songs are well constructed with catchy melodies and each member has his own personality which is pretty cool. Most important is the fact that it is obvious that they are really enjoying what they do. Good luck you should be proud and I highly recommend anyone who hasn't heard them to check them out. I am wrapping up a year abroad in Europe and Radical Something kept me grounded to my home sweet home in California. Your music is great and growing, keep it up! I heard you guys in Hollister in London, didn't think you would go that route, but I'm all for it. However you can get the music out there, do it!

The only thing I like on this album is the album cover. This "music" is something alright but it ain't radical.

Ive known Mikey for years now and what he has done with this band is awesome. I am so happy that he has followed his dreams and has gotten to where he is at today!
