I stumbled across this and actually like it! To me, Carnie, really has a truly amazing voice! I’ve always admired her. Owen nails her Moms pitch in “Dedicated to the one I love”. I’ve been a huge “younger” fan of The Mamas and Papas (I was born LESS than month after Cass Elliot passing) so when I heard that part, my eyes got big and was floored! Thanks gals! Keep rocking!

I have always wanted to hear them sing “Don’t Worry Baby…” Was not disappointed.

It sounds like the studio had the musicians come in and record all the music (bass, lead, drums) etc, then called Wilson Phillips in after all was said and done in order to lay down vocal tracks. While vocals are not tracked first, a lot of artists do scratch vocals which sort of assist and help the other instruments get into a sort of groove. Here, the girls probably just recorded their voices well after the other musicians had left the studio. And you can tell. I hate albums like this. Covers are bad enough. Covers with no cohesion amongst the band is even worse. That said, we always have Hold On.
  • GOOD VIBRATIONS CARNIE WILSON'S VOICE

First of all, my "nickname" is my guinea pig's full name, whose first name was for Carnie Wilson. I bought this song because of the mindblowing low notes Carnie hits. She can do mid and high notes as well. Great Harmony. I love Carnie and Wendy. The other one provided "Hold On" so I forgive her ego issues. I'm tired of hearing insults about Wilson Phillips. Their first album meant a lot to me and helped me when I was a teenager isolated in my bedroom for a year cutting myself, and now that I am going on 40 and appreciating my parents more and more, they should not be dissed for honoring their parents' songs and this is my opinion.

  • More Owen Elliot-Kugel, less Chynna Phillips

Not sure why they released this because the songs are all so timeless and shouldn't have been redone. I get the history and how important it must have been for the ladies to record these song. Chynna is just awful - replace her with Owen Elliot-Kugel, that one has talent.

great! cover over good vibrations. It is a cover album and this group has always being mellow. Great job! Not every album has to sound like Pitbull and Jennifer Lopez.
  • Ballad Singers, singing their Mama's music

I just sampled this CD and it's terrible. Wilson Phillips are ballad singers, they should not be recreating their parents songs. Everyone knows their parent's music... the main reason people loved WP in the first place is because they were those original ballad singers. One of a kind inspirational ballads not riding on poor renditions of their parent's coat tails. Come on girls, time to write your own stuff or just stop putting out "new" music.

I have always enjoyed Wilson Phillips and this album did not disappoint. I can't wait for their next one. I love how they harmonize. I also look forward to their reality show returning.
