I actually like the record, Jerrod is talented and to me he has a lot of good creative ideas...whether or not the Country market picks up on this is to remain. Best way I can describe this approach is just like Brian Wilson expermited with "The Beach Boys" on Pet Sounds. Good job Jerrod!

Yeah, it feels kinda weird, to have these more traditional country tracks filled with horns, but don't forget, Jerrod is a songwriter. I feel that he's cranking out the tunes for other artists and saving this stuff for himself. It makes him different, unique, and I think that's his appeal in today's country.
This is definitely different, as opposed to his new one "Drink To That All Night", where he seems to follow the flow of country music today.

I love the title Musical Scientist! He mixes many styles of music to create a unique brand of country. This is definitely an album to which a person can move and have fun! One can also see that Jerrod has a lot of fun when performing these songs!
