This little bookend of a show neatly ties up Dan's truly excellent Khan series, and offers a more conclusive end to it in my opinion than episode IV. There's more detailing how the influence of Mongol military tactics have never really left since their inception by the nomadic step peoples, and sharp analysis of the current state of Mongol historiography. In addition is some brilliant commentary tying up the little tangents he drew in parts I, II, III, & IV to contemporary society. Really insightful and definitely worth getting if you want the cherry on top of your Wrath of the Khans experience! Great work Dan, seriously.

I cannot believe I have listened to all 5 of the wrath of the khan podcasts and still yearned for more. I didn't even really have any interest in The Mongolians until I stumbled onto Hardcore History. This podcast series has seriously made me extactic!
