This album isn’t just music, it’s a feeling. It’s Adrenalin pumping from the start and continues into more somber, sadder sounds (which are beautifully done too) A perfect doom and gloom album
High point for depression

I was 17 when I got this album. I still listen to The Hanging Garden, Siamese Twins, and The Figurehead to thisday.
Bleak, and hopeless. Core Cure fans will always have this album as a desert island disc.

Not as good as Disintegration, but very, very good nonetheless.
A Strange Day and Cold are two of my overall favorite Cure songs.

...this album is the fertilizer. From which lame old hasbeen's grow. Please Please Please! Why can't the Cure put out a decent album like they did with Thriller back in 1982. James liked that one, but he hates this one. Strike two, boys...
Last great Cure recording

This is the end of the line with Da Cure. Except for 'Join the Dots' box set, the Cure ended here.
Friday I'm in love? Garbage.

Obsessed with The Cure for years and since its release "Pornography" is still in my all time top 10 albums. Each time I see them live, I'm elated when Robert does one of these tracks. "The Figurehead" and "Cold" immediately stand out as my favorites. But I've certainly overplayed this entire thing from vinyl, to cassette, to CD and now mp3. "Pornography" epitomizes the goth sound from the early 80's. If you are just discovering The Cure be sure and go back to the beginning. You NEED this album as well as "Faith" and "17 Seconds" Don't miss Robert Smith's work with Steven Severin from the Banshees as The Glove.

I so happy with this purchase i can put in words , I love the second Cd and they did a great job when the digitally remastered . specially with the second Cd of rarities sounds clean and with out distorsion.
IF YOU ARE IN A SUICIDE WATCH DONT PLAY THIS , THE LYRICS ARE AMAZING GOTHIC .
THE BASS PLAYER AND DRUMMER LEFT THE BAND AFTER THIS RECORD.
I HAD THE OLD CD BUT THIS SURPASSES EVERYTHING BY FAR.
I GOT FOR 9 BUCKS AND REPLACED MY OLD VERSION .

This is a masterpiece that sounds as good today as it did when it was originally released. It is a watershed record. The Hanging Garden, Siamese Twins, The Figurehead are amazing just like the remaining five songs on the record.
Wow!!!
