Hope Sandoval's haunting, soulful vocals are coming over the airwaves on KCMU (now KEXP), bursting onto the music scene fully formed and instantly memorable. It sounded fresh and original then and it still does today, nearly 30 years after its debut. She Hangs Brightly is an indy music masterpiece .
