I love that several tracks on this comp are from their second album "Flame", which deserves to be on iTunes. Until that happens, it's great to have "One Blind Love", "Face to Face", et al to tide me over.
  • All worth it for the 1st track

1st track is a fantastic piece of early 80's nostalgia. Pass the other tracks and go watch the movie 'Rad'. Rented that on VHS every week for about 3 months for the BMX dance scene featuring Send Me an Angel. Good stuff.

Don't forget to download "Catch me I'm falling", Let's Fall in Love, and then try to find God Tonight on another album.

"Send me an angel" was from that 1989 movie I saw "The Wizard"! I so recognized that song!

I'm not going overanalyze this band but I will say that I always liked Catch Me I'm Falling both the song and video. "Catch" may have been ear candy but for someone like me who listened to both the quality 80's bands (Cure, Smiths) as well as the more stereotypical 80's bands (OMD, Flock of Seagulls), I think it's about as enjoyable as anything else you could hear from the 80's. Unfortunatly the version of "Catch" included here is not the good single edit version you're probably accustomed to. Instead they have a longer extended, I guess, album version which has so many little things added on here and there that it ruins the pace of the song and actually makes the song sound...not as enjoyable as it should sound.

yeah if you really like 80's synthpop, technopop, new wave, etc. then this is good album to have for your collection. Besides the megahit the album does offer other good songs like "catch me...", "babies" etc. But ya have to be in the mood. Like the review says this music was so tied to the time it was made that it sounds so outdated now. I think the reason why bands like OMD, Depeche mode, erasure and Pet shop boys do so well is because they (for the most part still make music) but most importantly their music during the 80's wasn't so overproduced and did'nt give in to every little musical cliche' of the day. Their albums from the same period don't sound so "blantantly" 80's. But still this is a decent piece of nostalgia. (and it'll make ya remember the movie "Rad" ;)

Nothing to mellow or down beat about this band - easy to listen to songs with smooth catchy melodies. Their big hit 'Send me an angel' is a popular song to remix, I personally like the original best. This album is best when you just need something upbeat and carefree. Check out 'Always' and 'Face to face'.

Download the first track and move on, Send me an angel is the only good song. There are a few other somewhat "decent" songs but nothing close to groundbreaking or even unique. There are far better 80's tracks to download before you even consider getting any other tracks; even track #6 the (Dance Mix) is bad.
