I bought this when I was a senior in high school (1970-1971) and loved it. I wrote a paper for an english assignment on the premise that the song Black Sabbath was about professional football, played every week on sabbath day. I read the paper in class while playing the song and made line by line comparisons. Got an “A,” of course.

Although I think this album is slightly overrated, this is a legendary album. I personally don’t like Wicked World, but if the Itunes version had Evil Woman (ik the Euro version does) I’d give it 5 stars.
Still amazing nonetheless.

I listened to this whole thing front to back, and it was awesome. A horror movie was playing in my head as I listened to “Black Sabbath” and “The Wizard”. Deserves more recognition than Paranoid, since it is more roomier and louder.
Sabbath. End of debate.
