I can not help it but this album brings me back to so many wonderful memories of my youth living in th IE!!! Who didn't go to Del Taco after cruising the strip? Bumping Debbie Deb in my brother's Regal. My hair was in a scrunchie and was sporting LA Gear! Fresh style, and you know who you are that's out there who feels me!!!!!! Go Banning Broncos!
  • ReMakes

I gave it a three because of the re-makes. I'm not a remake or tribute type (thou there SOME good remakes). I will say that Trinere's "They're Playing Our Song" will be bumpin' in Clubs, Cars, iPods, Computers, Homes and everywhere for A LONG, LONG TIME. Believe That!!!
  • Not the Original Songs

Many of these songs are re-makes and do not sound the same as the originals. They sound just close enough in the 30 second sample to get you to buy it but then you hear the whole song and you realize they are re-makes. Wish I could get a refund

This is a must have - I bought the CD in the early 90's and have enjoyed it ever since. Total roller skating rink music. One interesting fact though - the "Trinere & Friends Greatest Hits" that I bought back then didn't have any Pretty Tony (although I do have those tracks and they are great), but instead it had Freestyle's "Don't Stop The Rock," "It's Automatic," and "The Party's Just Begun." There are other differences too. It was the exact same CD cover and everything. This cover even mentions Freestyle, but no Freestyle tracks. So I recommend buying this and then searching for the Freestyle tracks.

This whole album brings back so many memories all at once. Growing up knowing DJs, I was always one of the first in my neighborhood to have these jams! I remember going to parties at Reverchon Park in Dallas, Tx. on Sunday afternoon's while DJ Stevie D spinned the records and going toTiffany's night club in downtown Dallas on Friday nights listening to DJ G-Rock mix it up. Listening to all these JAMS really takes me back to a time that I will never forget. Great Dance Music!!!!

This is the keystone of Freestyle music. If you like freestyle and don't have this CD you don't know freestyle.

I still love this album. Trinere was great Live in the 80's! I mean damn..., fog machines and laser rays~ How can you beat that? I own a fog machine because of this band! There was a club in Riverside called Manequins that allowed underage drinking in the mid 80s, those who know remember good times were had, and Trinere got much play.
  • 20 Plus Years And Its Still Got Me Groovin'!!!

I found this after looking for "When I Hear Music" on the radio earlier in the day and had a flash back to the time when I first became a DJ. I had 2 and 3 copies of some of these songs and had to have them again, even "Funky Little Beat" sounded good after all these years, in spite the fact that Connie wore it out in Los Angeles and Fresno back in '84. The style of dance music in the 80's was different than what we have to day and actually the old school stuff is quite refreshing. If you close your eyes and let yourself go, the beats will have you moving all night long. "PrettyTony" Butler's influence were fantastic on the people he produced as well on his own releases. I find this album energetic, I had to have it!!! I suggest everyone who likes to dance get this.

On 11/2/05, I went to the Gwen Stefani concert at MSG and they played "When I Hear Music" during the intermission louder than I'd ever heard it. There I was back at USA Roller skating rink in Massapequa in 1982-84. Damn those were fun days. Most of the songs on this compilation I had forgotten and cannot wait to blast this like I was 15 again.
