A gem. Mac McAnally has produced a wonderful collection of songs that stand as final triumph for one of this generation's great singer-songwriters...even though I tear up listening to Jesse sing some of them. I feel blessed to have seen him his first night in Montreal and many times since.

Few people remember that jesse.s first album, well over 3 decades ago, was voted Best Album of the Year, by Rolling Stone magazine. wonderful new , and old stuff.

at first I thought it was just nostalgia for Jesse that made me listen to this record several times yesterday - when I listened today for maybe the fith time i realized it was more. This is a fine recording : The lyrics, the voice, the music, and the stories. Jesse lives on here - a fine job from Mac McAnally it is well produced

Perhaps his best produced album of the lot, but an album that is a little hard to listen to since his death earlier this year. Definitely had mortality on his mind, but, like Jesse Winchester, the sweetness prevailed. Wonderfully performed and a fitting last call for an American gem. Rest easy Jesse.

I was turned onto Jesse Winchester when I first heard the awesome sone Talk Memphis. At that time I dug in and found such a wealth of incredible music that shows a ton of passion and fun. Being a fan of the south he really encapsulates what it’s about. This album continues the theme and I’m so grateful that this was put together after his passing. Thanks for the present Jesse!

I've known this guy longer than I've known my wife (just had 36th wedding anniv) I've seen him 10 times over the years from that first time at Xavier University in Cincinnati when there may have been 20 of us in the hall to about 2 years ago. I've taken my mother to see him and every friend I have. He is/was the most amazing songwriter, guitar player and vocalist ever. I've grieved this year and will always miss him.
