Great to hear some new America. I would not consider this to be one of their best, but still a nice listen. The best track, in my mind and on the same level as the early days, is "The Quiet Inside". Hopefully we will be able to enjoy more from this iconic group in the near future.

This goes way beyond soft rock, and into the dark abyss of emasculated gibberish that Kenny G perfected with his unmanly saxophone. Dream Come True is the exception. If you liked Muskrat Love, you’ll love this !

Nice job with the classic sound. This could be played next to there greatest hits album and sounds as good.

Unlike the new sounds of the new so called artists this banf called AMERICA is outstanding! Music should never be boring and all the songs in this album shouts gently about music that should be heard by every generation! No monotone voalization here or the so boring repeated genre every new generation artist is guilty of. I was surprised this album really is a collectors item! Great compositions!
  • 8 Out of 10 Ain't Bad...

While there are a couple of throw-away songs in this new recording by America's Gerry Beckley and Dewey Bunnell (the cheesy "Early Days" and the lamentable "Dream Come True"), overall it is as strong or stronger than the 2007 recording "Here & Now." Of particular note are Beckley's "Driving," "Green" and "Don't Let Her Close Your Eyes" (all of which sound as if they could have been recorded for a Beckley solo album such as "Unfortunate Casino" or "Horizontal Fall") and Bunnell's "Out on the Street," "The Quiet Inside" and "All in All." I've followed America since its self-titled debut album appeared in 1972 with its enduring hits "A Horse with No Name" and "I Need You," and am amazed that the band continues to record such relevant music all of these years later. Highly recommended to listeners of 70s-era singer-songwriter music. But eight of these 10 tracks would appeal to fans of Fountains of Wayne, The Autumn Defense and similar melodic bands of the current era. And hey, eight gems out of 10 tracks ain't bad!

What an absolute treat! Truly a breath of fresh air and a sigh of relief to hear songs that are so fluid and flow with such harmony! Though this iconic band has been around for decades they manage to stay true to their style and deliver a sound that is … on point!!!
