This performance still makes the hairs stand up on the back of my neck. You know it’s flawless when Randy Meisner (RIP 🕊️) hits that high note in the outro and Glenn and Joe look over at him like “okay buddy… you go ahead and soak it up, because you just KILLED it!”. A rare example of a live performance that makes the studio version seem pedestrian and soulless, by comparison. They may not have been on the best of terms during this period… but musically, they were locked in and on another level that was far above most of their contemporaries.
