The second of three video blogs I produced while visiting North Korea for Reuters in 2012 to report on celebrations surrounding the 100th birthday of the country's founding father Kim Il-sung. It was the first time foreign media had witnessed young Kim Jong-un as the country's ruler following the death of his father Kim Jong-il the previous year. At the same time, the country's controversial rocket launch failed, and secretive authorities faced the dilemma of how to present the embarrassment to the people.
