On April 9th, 2010, I sat down for toast and coffee with Immanuel Wallerstein in the San Francisco apartment of his daughter Kathy. As always he provided a sharp and sobering insight into global politics, and I have edited the conversation into several short films based on the different topics that we discussed. In this piece I asked him the following question: "The U.S. appears to be making moves toward a more aggressive position in Latin America. Do you think they will succeed in their ambitions, to reassert U.S. dominance in the region?"
