Once again, we celebrated our ‘WorkPride Networking Event in Madrid’, which welcomed ERG leaders and company representatives committed to LGBTQ+ inclusion, as well as delegates from countries known for their strong defense of LGBTQ+ rights.   Miguel Garzon, Managing Director for Iberia and Latin America at myGwork, welcomed all attendees and emphasized that this year, more than ever, there has been a greater need to support the LGBTQ+ community and to celebrate #WorkPride, which continues to stand as the largest workplace Pride celebration. That’s why this year’s theme was ‘Allies’, and Beatriz Curiel Tormo, Senior HRBP at law firm Clifford Chance, gave voice to those who speak up and take a stand against discrimination.   Antonio López de Ávila, Director of Innovation, Education, and Investment at UN Tourism, spoke about the institution’s work to ensure tourism promotes humanity and rights, fostering deeper understanding and stronger connections among people.   This year, we honored a country for its unwavering defense of LGBTQ+ rights—and therefore, of human rights: Norway. A moving video of their Pride campaign 🌈 ‘Trygg’ (which means ‘safe’ or ‘protected’) was shown, paying tribute to the lives lost in the attack on an LGBTQ+ bar in Oslo.   Pierre Gaubert and Adrien Gaubert, co-founders of myGwork, presented the Ally Recognition Award to Nils Haugstveit, the Norwegian Ambassador to Spain, in appreciation of his commitment to LGBTQ+ rights and his collaboration with myGwork in our mission to make workplaces safer for LGBTQ+ professionals, while promoting equal opportunities for all.   In his speech, Nils Haugstveit thanked myGwork for its contribution to society by fostering diversity and respect. The opening concluded with remarks from Juan Velasco, President of Avegal, who invited the organizations within the myGwork ecosystem to take part in Gay Games XII València 2026—an opportunity to bring inclusive culture and sport into corporate spaces.   Above all, this event was a valuable opportunity to bring our community back together in a relaxed and celebratory setting as part of Madrid Pride. Thanks to our collaboration with LVMH, this year we also celebrated the most ‘Queer’ and ‘Authentic’ looks among attendees.   #WorkPride 2025 was made possible thanks to the support of our sponsors: Booking.com, Organon, RS Group, Canada Life UK, Gay Games XII València 2026, Taylor Wessing, and ABB Spain, along with all the companies that are part of the myGwork community. About myGwork: myGwork is the global LGBTQ+ business community. We offer a safe space for people to connect with inclusive professionals, find jobs, attend events, and catch up on the latest LGBTQ+ news.   Join myGwork community here!   #WorkingWithPride www.myGwork.com
