Here a movie is defined as: more than one image assembled in a linear fashion for a fixed amount of time, and in doing so, producing a complete thought. A movie is non-interactive as a viewer does not have control of its timing. This idea was born out of a discussion I had with some friends when I shared my definition of a movie with them. I produced this to further demonstrate the point. Also, though I altered the images I found on Wikimedia Commons using Photoshop, the entire video was assembled using a custom ruby wrapper for the ffmpeg library. For non-nerds: I hand coded the edit. No Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, or any other non-linear video editor was used to assemble this movie.
