We examine Genesis 1:11-28 in the light of present day biological knowledge and discuss the time sequence in relation to the creation of life forms. The use of the Hebrew word "bara" (to create something from that which did not previously exist) and "asah" (to reform, remake, or rearrange) are discussed as they appeared in the first chapter of Genesis.
