This is an excerpt from "Liberty's Secret," a girl-meets-girl movie-musical and political satire by Andy Kirshner. It's the story of Liberty Smith, the squeaky-clean daughter of a "family values" preacher, who becomes the All-American figurehead of a political campaign, and then falls in love with her spin doctor -- another woman. In this excerpt, Yolanda Jones (Alfrelynn Roberts) makes a musical (and biblical) appeal to Liberty's father (Chris Lutkin) to quit trying to "fix" his lesbian daughter, and to instead love and accept her just as she is. The church choir backs her up -- as does Saint Paul.
