WAAFAA Video #1 - Beginner's Luck Created by David Beinke. If you've ever seen Transworld's 'Anthology' video, this intro might seem familiar. Yes, I admit, I ripped it off ;) Anthology was one of the first skate videos I ever saw, and was blown away with the level of filming, editing and general polished slick style. Ty Evans was a name I didn't forget. The filmwork was a big influence on me, and I would study it endlessly. I'd watch it over and over, figuring how how each shot was filmed; did he hold the camera this way, did he pan or swivel the camera in that shot, fisheye framing etc etc. I did this religiously with almost every video I had from then on. Anyway, I ripped off the intro with my own version because I had no original ideas of my own, and the Anthology intro always felt so epic to me. Note the lack of apostrophe in 'Beginners' - i'm surprised I didn't misspell it completely. The name came from the idea that it was our first video, i'm not sure how lucky we were though. 'Tilt video productions' was a daydream skate company I had in my head. I used to draw ads and everything. Filmed on a Sony DCR-TRV130 and edited with Pinnacle Studio.
