How to Let Spirit Help You

Thank God we can transcend all our bodily and relational complaints. We need to simply recognize they are our projections onto the world. As we shift our minds to align with Spirit we embrace the only power that truly heals—forgiveness. In this video, David Hoffmeister talks about how to let Spirit help you. David is a living demonstration of the mystical teachings of Jesus as taught in A Course in Miracles. For those who feel a deep call for Awakening, David is pure inspiration! ACIM is a pointer to the non-dual awareness. Enjoy! The term “magic” in A Course in Miracles usually brings to mind medicine or some procedure used to bring temporary peace of mind or to alleviate pain, but always using a worldly cause. The word magic can be applied to a wider range of topics such as exercise, nutrition, energy work or the idea that a certain climate is better for the body than another. Magic is believing that healing can be brought about by anything in the projected world. But the real question is, “What is the purpose?” The ego can use magic to maintain the bodily identification. But magic can also be used as part of the Holy Spirit's plan of forgiveness by deepening communication. It is always important to be clear of your purpose and hold it front. The mind that has fallen asleep is full of magical thoughts. The teacher of God's responsibility is not to attack them. Defenselessness is always the most important thing. The belief that there are others outside of your mind is the source of all conflict. That is why the ego made the world: to put the grievances out onto people, or the body, instead of forgiving the grievance in your mind. Words are a form of magic. They have no reality. They are symbols of symbols twice removed from reality. Complements and criticisms are both judgments. The peace of God has nothing to do with a positive or negative evaluation. Let the Holy Spirit be in charge of the words you speak. You are responsible for your state of mind. Pray to the Holy Spirit: “This holy instant would I give to you. Be you in charge, for I would follow you, certain that your direction gives me peace.” We give our mind to the Holy Spirit and ask for a peaceful day. The ego wants to plan, to analyze, to prepare. The ego tries to survive through judgment and analysis. The ego says you have to conform, to please people. The ego is always on edge, afraid to rock the boat, afraid to upset anybody. But the Spirit is not afraid of anything. You can be your authentic self, very loving, very friendly, offending nobody. Undo the ego and follow the Holy Spirit for an easy, simple, peaceful life.
