This is Cane Toad Productions' 2010 48 Hour Film Project entry for San Diego. We drew the genre Dark Comedy. Required elements where: Prop: A Chair Character: Dr. Rita or Rick Hernandez Line of Dialog: I'm trying my best. Have fun and cross the bridge of hands. --- We had our premiere screening on July 28th, 2010 and came second in the audience award. Very pleased. --- Update August 2nd, 2010 ---- We were selected for the Best of San Diego screening for August 4th at 7pm. --- Update August 5nd, 2010 ---- Kacie Flowers, playing Dr. Hernandez, wins the Best Actress award for San Diego. Kacie, you are awesome! --- Technical stuff. All Shot on a Canon 7D and Zoom H4n. Lenses used: a Canon 80-200mm 2.8 (at F4), Canon 28mm 1.8 (at F4) and 50mm Lens Baby Composer (at F5.6). Used a cheap $99 slider and a Redrock Micro follow focus rig (Captain Stubing.) 7D files where converted to CineForm AVI where the audio was sync'd using the DualEyes beta software (worked perfectly.) The editing was done on Premiere Pro CS5 on three different PCs (running Vista and/or Seven) with no experienced editors (other than my own dabbling, and an hour+ help from Jake Segraves.) The very minor color correction was done in FirstLight. One day I'll revisit for a more extensive color correction and edit tweak. The film you see here was written, shot, edited and finished in HD 24p, within 48 hours.
