From the Cristina Vatielli photographic project "le Donne di Picasso" (Picasso's Women) Short clip, made at side of the photo shooting, that tries to communicate the woman that Cristina wants to portray. www.cristinavatielli.com Gaby Depeyre worked at a cabaret where she sang and danced. Unlike most of Picasso’s women, she challenged the painter, refusing his wedding proposal. From the beginning, she never let the painter steal her soul. She weighed the pros and cons of a possible relationship with Picasso and in the end chose the certainty of the affection of another man, Herbert Lespinasse. However, she was quite conscious of what she was giving up when she refused Picasso’s marriage proposal, and this made her choice even more courageous.
