She’s a 2015 Silicon Valley Woman of Influence, a recognized Top 100 Wireless Technology Expert by Wireless World, one of Connected World’s Women of M2M, inventor, multidisciplinary entrepreneur, inventor of an IoT medical battery that runs on body temperature and a PhD in Physics from University of Sydney. David Bartlett – CTO Aviation, GE Dave Bartlett is the Chief Technology Officer for GE Aviation. Dave provides strategic technology leadership and oversight for digital and analytics growth projects across all of Aviation, evaluating new technologies setting the technology vision and direction for the business. Prior to joining GE, Dave served as IBM’s Vice President of Smarter Physical Infrastructure and a key spokesperson for IBM’s “Smarter Planet.” Other roles have included IBM Vice President of Autonomic Computing and Director of IBM’s European Software Development. Dave earned his MBA at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. He attended the Graduate School for Computer Science at the University of Minnesota, the Undergraduate School for Life Sciences at the State University of New York, and completed the Masters program for Project Management at George Washington University. Mark Orsborn, Director Internet of Things (IoT) at Salesforce Mark currently leads the Salesforce IoT strategy across EMEA. His prior role at Salesforce was within their global business transformation group working with CxO’s at large strategic customers to re-imagine their future. Over the last 18 years Mark has also held a number of operational and professional services technology roles at companies including CSC and 3M. He has consulted with clients in many industries including manufacturing, healthcare, utilities about how technology can enable business change. Mark holds a bachelor degree with honors in Aeronautical Engineering from Loughborough University in the UK. Mark Thirman, VP M2M Americas at Vodafone Mark has over 30 years of experience in executive, business development, and sales roles gathered in a broad range of telephony, infrastructure, networking, and computer companies. Currently at Vodafone, the world’s leading mobile operator, Mark works on key M2M partnerships and channels. At mobile platform provider, Illume Software as VP BusDev, he evangelized mobile safety issues with telcos, software providers, government and trade groups, and corporations and helped raise nearly $8M in VC funding. Previously, Mark was the founder/CEO of AirPrint Networks, an early stage mobile software company where approximately $4M in VC funding was raised. Mark’s prior positions include executive roles in business and market development at Pingtel Corp (acquired by Nortel)., GTE Internetworking (now Verizon), VideoServer, VTEL, PictureTel (now Polycom). Mark is the board chairman (emeritus) for AccesSportAmerica, a national non-profit that adapts and teaches high-challenge sports to children and adults with disabilities (www.accessportamerica.org).
