Director, Producer, and Filmmaker John Bisceglie seeks local youth ages 6-21 to appear in "Broadway Movie Musical," a salute to the American musical. This dynamic movie musical celebrates the evolution of American musical theater, paying tribute to the beloved classics that have come to define the medium as well as today’s game-changers that are bringing new life to the art form. Bay Area youth recreate Broadway's greatest moments on film, performing songs from hit shows like Wicked, Matilda, Hamilton, Something Rotten, School of Rock, Rent, Book of Mormon, Finding Neverland, Beautiful, Annie, Cinderella, Aladdin, Newsies, Thirteen, Legally Blonde, Grease, Hairspray, West Side Story, Jersey Boys, Chicago, Fiddler on the Roof, Les Miserables, Phantom of the Opera and more. Record in a pro recording studio, work on a movie set with a film crew, then see yourself on the silver screen when "Broadway Movie Musical" premieres in selected Bay Area movie theaters in January 2017. Seeking diverse and dynamic youth performers to perform classic and contemporary Broadway musical theater songs. Cast members will appear in multiple solo, duet, group and ensemble numbers. Our convenient and exciting program with only one rehearsal per week will be offered in San Francisco, San Jose & Morgan Hill. No experience required, and all who audition will be accepted.
