Upcoming French artist M. Chat (“Monsieur Chat”, in English: “Mr. Cat”) jumped on Hotel Jen Hong Kong in Western District, where he created one of the city’s largest wall paintings, 40 meters above ground. Then he sneaked in Restaurant BiBo on Hollywood Road to eternalize his iconic character alongside with masterpieces by Banksy, Vhils, JonOne, Jeff Koons, Takashi Murakami etc. Because the cat cannot change her spots, the French International School in Happy Valley was cat-arized by M. Chat. The cat-and-mouse-game continued at Hong Kong Arts Center in Wan Chai and at Alliance Française Center in Jordan. M. Chat also left big marks at Wine Cellar La Cabane on Hollywood Road: see video below. The final summit of M. Chat’s live painting performances will be at Art Supermarket on Mid-Levels and starts from 5pm, 20 March (Sunday) 2016. This wall painting will be a part of the new Exhibition “Talking Animals”, which is featuring new artworks by M. Chat and Hong Kong-based Australian artist Phil Hayes. See you there!
