With a combined age of nearly 106 years, our grunt method wasn't gonna cut it for hoisting up the LEDs in the middle of the room (we'll claim the real reason was low ladders though). We decided to go with a modified-pulley and scaffolding-rack system. After a few runs the method ran rather well: Load, lift, hoist, clip, dangle, release, dump, tie off, twist-tie off. Repeat until the ceiling is covered with nearly 30,000 points of light (29,727 is my best guess). Excessive? Nope. It's very even, indirect lighting without any shadowing; precisely what I needed.
