Lets begin with the course information module. The “start here” link will provide you with an overview of how to navigate a course in canvas, and this is where you are right now. The instructor’s page is where you will find information about your instructor as well as the instructors welcome message. This page is also where the instructor begins to build a community of learners among all of you. The importance of this link cannot be emphasized enough. This link goes directly to the courses syllabus. The syllabus is everything you can expect from the instructor and everything that the instructor expects from you. Make sure you read and understand this completely. If you need to go back and read again, do so for your own benefit. The student support link is going to be your friend in times of academic needs and technical troubles. It contains all the resources and help that are available to you as an NMJC student. So take advantage of this. As you know each course are different. Some courses will have more items in the course information module than the others. Each item under this moduel is of equal importance to get you prepared for the learning experience ahead. Anything additional will be provided to you in detail by your instructor.
