17 DECEMBER 2010 - 17 MARCH 2011 GALLERY 1 FREE While Nam June Paik was studying in Germany developing his experimental and music practice and growing creative relationships with leading Fluxus artists, lasers were still in their infancy. Following his move to the US, Paik became fascinated by the laser as an untapped artistic resource. They provided him with an opportunity to take the image outside of the television and create media environments. In the late 1990's, Paik began working with Norman Ballard, an American laser artist - Laser Cone is a product of this unique creative collaboration.
