CONCEPT / DIRECTION / DESIGN / ANIMATION: MOJO CLIENT: INTERNAL CHALLENGE YOUR WORLD 20/20 is a partnership between CHALLENGE YOUR WORLD and MOTIONOGRAPHER. Through an online community, contests, and events, CHALLENGE YOUR WORLD connects emerging entrepreneurs to the resources and expertise they need to launch companies that restore the environment, contribute to society, and build a healthier economy. CHALLENGE YOUR WORLD 20/20 invites 20 video artists to create 20 wild, whimsical, and unconventional machines that solve environmental issues. MOJO was invited as one of 20 video artists / studios to participate in the project. "The Amazing Green Hat", a 75sec short animation, is inspired by Chindôgu, the Japanese art of "unuseless inventions" (an invention that cannot be regarded as "useless" in an absolute sense, since they do actually solve a problem; however, in practical terms, they cannot positively be called "useful."). The hat will allow the wearer to grow a tree on his head, thereby promoting the growth of trees in any part of the world.
