On my first day of teaching at MCC. I tripped over my sari approximately 88 times, stepped in a giant puddle of mud, and nervously sang "Deep in the Heart of Texas" to a classroom of 55 confused fifth-graders. I never could have imagined that eight months later I would find myself singing a classic Tamil song to an auditorium of hundreds of excited middle schoolers for my final farewell performance-- with the help of my gorgeous back-up dancers! MCC and all of my students have taught me so much about the value of educational and cultural exchange, and I will carry these memories (and embarrassing videos) with me for a lifetime. #Fulbright #FulbrightIndia #PooPookumOsai
