MVP Michael Venom Page - Breakdown / Skill Study / Highlights I've done a few breakdowns of MVP before, so for this one I will cover some things that people have requested within. Many people think he needs to face tougher competition, or make the move to the UFC, though noteworthy, his most recent win over Evangelista 'Cyborg' Santos at 185 lbs. (up from his normal 170 lb. fighting weight) was rather impressive. And at only 29 years old and 11-0 w/ only 1 fight going to a decision, he is likely due to step up drastically in competition (Rory MacDonald / Benson Henderson etc.), now that Bellator has signed some of the upper echelon talent. Technical Focus will be on an assortment of topics, including: distance domination, cadence, drastic centerline manipulation, striking while moving backward, and more of "the why" in regards MVP's success thus far. Cheers. Michael Jerome Reece-Page, better known as 'MVP' an acronym for Michael "Venom" Page, is an English kickboxer, karateka, and welterweight mixed martial artist of Trinidadian and Jamaican descent. He is primarily known for his unorthodox fighting style Page describes his discipline as a "hands down kickboxing style" which originates from freestyle kickboxing (point fighting) and sport karate.
