In 2002, this dargah had become the largest relief camp, with thousands camping there, displaced, injured and/or grieving. During a chat with the local Sajjadanasheen (the hereditary custodian of music at the shrine), I asked him whether the riots had triggered off something new. Though he said yes, he was reluctant to sing as the words had just come in recently and he was still setting them to music. His troupe hadn't even rehearsed it at all. This was the first time they 'rehearsed' - I filmed it nonetheless. Like much other material, I couldn't use this in Final Solution, but this well might be the opening sequence in one of the 4 films in the series I'm calling Final Solution Revisited.
