Meet New East Records' First Lady, Drea : Fresh from the Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music, and just 20 years old, singer, songwriter, actress and model, Andrea "Drea" LeClaire is no stranger to the performing arts. From the tender age of seven she was singing and performing whenever the opportunity arose. Drea's young career includes collaborating with Issa Pointer of the legendary Pointer Sisters, and crafting her own sound with Grammy Winning song writer, Balewa "Bilal" Muhammad, of the production/song writing collective, the Clutch. Drea's talents go beyond just singing. Throughout her high school, she acquired starring roles in various school plays and musicals, while also fine tuning her love for playing instruments. Drea spent much of her time during her early teenage years studying the piano and guitar. When she isn’t writing new music, rehearsing for a performance, or recording in the studio, she finds herself in the gym, painting pictures or enjoying family time. Driven by a hunger to make her mark on the music scene and the world in general, Drea's musical versatility may be her strongest asset. Great vocal range, humility and a beautiful soul (often said to be beyond her years) are just a few of the redeeming qualities Drea possesses.
