In September of 1810, a Mexican priest named Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla uttered a call to arms against the Spanish, later known as the Grito de Dolores ("Cry of Dolores"). Two hundred years later, we celebrated with the biggest parade in the history of Mexico and Latin America. Five million people flooded the streets of the Distrito Federal and the Downton square Zocalo to witness the show. I functioned as the Head of Operations for all parade operations.
