This was one of four videos I produced for an event called Ropeburn, where they were projected on walls through out. Each video explored LGBT culture, with this one focussing on the Gay Ballroom scene. I wanted this to be more than a montage of video clips, I wanted to explore the history of this dance style, looking at it's development over the last century. Ropeburn was the Gay Men's Chorus of Washington celebration of the queer underground and fall fundraiser, hosted in one of the most intriguing spaces in all of DC: the subterranean Dupont Underground.
