ORO NEGRO - Dani Pannullo Dancetheatre Co. Oro Negro is the first example in Spain of a union between hip-hop culture and other dance forms in a theatre space. It is a musical which intends to approach the people of Spain to hip-hop culture, which has existed and grown there for more then 10 years. However, the reality is that only a relatively small number of people do know about hip-hop culture in Spain. And it is very rare to find it performed on stage. Dani Pannullo and his company have been experimenting with urban dance within their shows since 1999. In this show the company had the privilege of working with the accompaniment of live music performed by artists such as Guateque All Stars, Frank T, Arianna Puello and Dnoe, all of whom are well recognized for their individual journeys to identification within the hip-hop community of Madrid. Zona Bruta is a company that is the main reference of hip-hop music in Spain. Oro Negro consists of 17 individual pieces that are performed consecutively to form one complete work.
