This film explores the landscape of Sandy Hook, New Jersey, a barrier reef with a defunct coastal U.S. Army artillery base called Fort Hancock. The base played an important role in the defense of New York Harbor throughout World War ll and is owned by the United States government, mostly managed by the National Park Service. Today, it is a popular recreational summer destination for its public beaches, fishing areas, wildlife species and nude beach.
