I filmed this footage near Shelton, Washington while I had traveled over for my Grandpa's memorial. It was the first time someone close to me had died and I wasn't quite sure how to process. As I walked close to the water an email my dad had sent earlier in the week echoed in my head. "For most of my life the idea of everlasting life has been a tenet of faith I have gazed at as through a darkened glass. For a brief moment that glass grew lighter and I saw with a clarity and certainty that reached into the depths of my soul. God makes himself known in his creation. The heavens shout at us about the glory of God. He reveals himself to us if we have eyes to see and ears to hear." Luke 1:78-80 In the tender compassion of our God the dawn from on high shall break upon us, to shine on those who dwell in darkness, and the shadow of death, and to guide our feet into the way of peace.
