A documentary created for WCCO TV that was broadcast on air as well as presented theatrically at the Fair itself. The conceit was to travel around the state of Minnesota with some old wooden chairs and gather people's memories. Focusing on faces and families it is an intimate portrait of the state's oldest tradition. It gathers the oral history of all age groups and presents the State Fair as an universal experience. The WCCO news team was highlighted and used as the focal point of the storytelling.
