Kan Ya Makan Premiere 20.11.18 at Raw Matters, Vienna In a quest for identity, the notions of enchantment, bewitchment and sorcery are explored in connection with my cultural heritage and my definition of womanhood. By tracing parallels between the archetypal model of witch that dominates the narrative imagination of children and the stories of my female ancestors, I’m searching to intertwine, confront ideas and create a body language where a character appears, dissolves, transcends her body by the trance, the music and her beliefs.
