After hearing about the death of Mollie Tibbets, I felt sick to my stomach. Stepping out the door for a run was apart of my daily routine. My friends, family, and coworkers use running as an escape, a way for them to de-stress. Hashtags like #milesformollie and #runningwhilefemale flooded my timeline and exposed me to the daily struggles and horrors of #runningwhilefemale. Mollies death is not isolated, but we should not run afraid. Raise awareness and fight back. Why? Because no woman should be afraid to run alone.
