This is one in a special series of ABC Open "The Moment Behind the Photo" videos created by the children and parents of the "Our Kids" calendars. The calendar kids are chosen because they all have something in common; they have spent time or have ongoing care in the Special Care Nursery or Children’s Ward at Lismore Base Hospital. 10 years ago "Our Kids" more formally known as the Northern Rivers Children’s Health Fund created its first Our Kids Calendar to raise funds for lifesaving medical equipment for the paediatric wards at Lismore Base Hospital and surrounding hospitals. The 2011 Calendar will showcase twelve local children who featured in the two first calendars in 2001 and 2002. The photography for the "Our Kids" Calendars is by local professional photographer Jacklyn Wagner who volunteers her talent and time to the "Our Kids" cause.
